My One Year Mixed Media Project

I started this project on January 1, 2006 and everyday until December 31, 2006 I will add one new thing to my canvas. I love working with mixed media so I thought this would be a great way for me to try new techniques without committing to one or the other. The canvas is taking on a life of its own, it seems like every mood and feeling is captured whether it is in writing or pictures or some abstract design. We will see what tomorrow brings…

love to paint

the pieces do fit together!

I took a sheet of paper and started to paint and add different materials to it. Then I cut it up into 12 pieces to make a puzzle out of it. After all of that I created a pocket for it out of altered magazine pages.

Heather taught me how to sew on a sewing machine. So I thought I would show off my new talent.

I found this puzzle piece from a child's dress up set and though it would fit perfectly with my head! I always looked weird in dresses so why should it be different now!

i need some green

I needed to balance out the green and I just wanted to paint.
